Set in the heart of Hutton, Essex, Hutton View Care Home is a thoughtfully designed, purpose-built environment that redefines modern residential and dementia care. Developed as part of the Hallmark Care Homes portfolio, this 77-bedroom care home combines high-quality living with carefully considered architectural solutions to support both residents and staff.
ECLISSE was proud to play a role in this flagship development, supplying 57 ECLISSE Classic Single and Double Pocket Door Systems—helping to maximise space, improve accessibility and enhance the overall aesthetic of the home.
A Modern Care Environment Designed Around Residents
Hutton View has been created to offer a safe, comfortable and engaging environment for residents requiring residential, nursing and dementia care. Every element of the design reflects a focus on wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
Each of the 77 bedrooms includes a private en-suite bathroom, with many ground floor rooms benefitting from direct access to outdoor patios. This connection to external space is key in promoting both physical and mental wellbeing.

In care environments, efficient use of space is essential—not only for aesthetics, but also for accessibility and ease of movement. This is where ECLISSE pocket door systems played a vital role in the Hutton View project.
By integrating 57 ECLISSE Classic Single and Double Pocket Door Systems throughout the home, the design team was able to:
- Eliminate door swing space, creating more usable room
- Improve accessibility for wheelchair users and care staff
- Enhance flow between private and communal areas
- Maintain a clean, uncluttered interior aesthetic
Pocket doors are particularly beneficial in care settings where space optimisation directly impacts both resident comfort and staff efficiency.
Hutton View was constructed by Savista Design & Build, part of the Hallmark group, on a 3.3-acre site in Brentwood. The project represents a £23 million investment and marks a significant milestone as Hallmark’s 21st care home and first assisted living venture.
Furniture and soft furnishings throughout the home were delivered by Edison & Day, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality interior finish across bedrooms, lounges, dining areas and reception spaces.
The result is a fully integrated care environment where architecture, interiors and functionality work seamlessly together.
