Clive and Gill were on a mission to transform their Wiltshire home with the inclusion of ECLISSE Pocket doors. The project began with a demolition of a tired 1960’s house to build a new, environmentally friendly family home. Richard Barnes Ltd of Calne in Wiltshire were successful in their tender to work with the self build clients to project manage and deliver the entire build.
The owners first saw Eclisse pocket doors at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon. They loved the space saving element as well as the decorative glass options. They wanted a light filled space which could be separated or opened up depending on the occasion and the large pocket doors were integral to the original design of the living area. The glass doors dividing the kitchen/dining area from the sitting room achieve this perfectly as well as allowing extra light into the north facing sitting area.
The asymmetrical, plain satin glass, pocket doors allow the back lighting in the pantry to illuminate the dining area whilst the oak pocket doors in the utility room hide the equipment, which runs the house, in the plant room.
Ben Barnes, Director and Project Manager for Richard Barnes Ltd was delighted
that his clients chose Eclisse as their supplier.
“ I was really pleased that the Chapmans chose to invest in Eclisse. Having previously fitted this and other brands Eclisse is a superior product and, in my view, the best on the market.
Installation was, potentially, tricky as the main doors were large and there
was little tolerance for error during installation. The help I received over
the telephone and via email drawings from the Eclisse Sales and Technical teams
was excellent and all three installations went smoothly.
One piece of fixing was missing and after an afternoon phone call it was despatched by overnight courier to arrive early the next morning. First class service and support all round”
“We are thrilled with the pocket doors. They have maximised the space available to us and we love the Murano glass inserts - they are really high quality and look beautiful. The choice of design was huge but we opted for an understated contemporary style.
Carole, in Sales, had endless patience answering all of our questions, by email
and telephone, before we made the final decision to purchase. Everything the
Company promised they delivered and that included accurate delivery schedules
during the Pandemic.
In addition to the pocket doors we asked if it would be possible to order a large, fixed decorative glass panel with Murano inserts for an internal window in the hall.
Despite this not being a product Eclisse usually provide they made enquiries and within two days we had a competitive quote and an order date from their suppliers in Italy. The entire Company seem to have an amazing ‘can do’ customer focussed attitude. We have been seriously impressed and, of course, the photographs say it all.”
