Eclisse supply Classic Pocket Door Systems for Vintry & Mercer Hotel Development Garlick Hill, London

Posted by Caroline Clarkson on 8th Aug 2017

This development has involved the part demolition of the existing building 19-20 Garlick Hill and erection of a new building with retained facade to 4 Skinners Lane, to provide erect a boutique hotel comprising sub-basement, basement, ground and seven upper floors.

The development located in the Queen Street Conservation Area of the City of London is still under construction. The building will use Portland Stone and corten steel, the first corten building within the City. Corten steel eliminates the need for painting by forming a stable rust-like appearance if exposed to the weather for several years.

The development is taking place close to the site of St James of Garlickhythe, a Grade I listed ‘Baroque’ Church designed by Sir Christopher Wren.
