Croydon’s Cultural Heritage Reflected in Grafton Quarter Development

Posted by Ted Weeding on 20th Oct 2017

Grafton Quarter, a mixed-use development has been designed to reflect a new, creative and ambitious Croydon. The development includes desirable townhouses, with landscaped gardens, fountains and benches, alongside 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and artists’ studios. To celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the area each of the apartment block is named after a renowned artist associated with Croydon- Barker House (Cicely Barker, illustrator), Caro House (Sir Anthony Alfred Caro OM CBE. abstract sculptor), Pannett House (Juliet Pannett, painter), Handel Lucas House (Edward George Handel Lucas, painter) and Chadwick House (Helen Chadwick, sculptor).

Due to be completed early in 2018, the development will also include a memorial garden.grafton_collage2.jpg
